The Village of North Palm Beach has created and established a Code Enforcement process that utilizes a Special Magistrate. Who is the Special Magistrate? The Special Magistrate is an attorney and a member of the Florida Bar in good standing, appointed by the City Council to conduct code enforcement hearings pursuant to Florida Statute Ch. 162.

Code compliance division, which shall inspect, encourage, enforce, monitor and report on compliance with the village's code of ordinances on all properties throughout the village. (3)
In order to classify, regulate and restrict the uses of land and buildings, the height and bulk of buildings, the amount of open spaces about buildings, intensity of land use, the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida is divided into twelve (12) zoning districts, as follows:
