Three things to know about numbers: 1. Năm and lăm. The « năm » is used to say 5 (năm) and 50 (năm mươi). The « lăm » goes in place of the 5 (năm) from 15 onwards. Use « lăm » when you have one number before 5 like « mười lăm. 2. Mười and mươi. « Mười (10 or ten) » has a descending tone until 19.
