3 lis 2023 · Efflorescence is a white, or sometimes blue, chalky, hazy substance that comes naturally from the cement content in your paving stone through moisture. Muriatic acid is the standard way to remove it—muriatic acid basically being diluted hydrochloric acid.
To clean pavers with muriatic acid, mix one-part acid to 20 parts of water in a bucket. Use a stiff bristled brush to scrub the surface of the pavers. Rinse the area with fresh water and allow it to dry completely before walking on it or applying sealer.
