I've traded in my phone with Verizon three times and two of those times they've screwed it up and tried to charge me. One of those times was six months after it was returned! The tracking info was no longer available at that point, but I had saved the confirmation.
In a classic bait and switch, Verizon provided a trade-in value that approximated their agents numbers for 1 phone but has refused to honor their agents claim for the second phone, going as far as to say the trade-in value is 0.00 via their online trade-in status for the second phone.
23 gru 2019 · I I am very disappointed in the trade in process that Verizon wireless has conducted on my trade in. I feel as I have been cheated and scammed. There was no damage to the screen or the device as it asked and I was offered $550 based on what I answered.
26 sty 2014 · I have to agree with other customers who describe the Verizon Trade-in Program as a scam. I was encouraged by a Verizon Wireless CSR to trade-in my iPhone 4s to mitigate the cost of an early upgrade to iPhone 5s. The appraised trade-in value was $200 based on the phone's condition, which was in perfect working order and had no damage.
I ported 4 lines over earlier this month and purchased 4 new phones from Verizon. I also traded in 2 phones, an LG G7 and an LG G8. Verizon overed $400 for each phone which was great to offset the costs to switch carriers. I received the shipping boxes and sent both phones off.
