You cannot legally keep any “Native” venomous snakes without the proper permits from the state. The only “native” venomous snake is the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, so technically in Michigan you can own a King Cobra or a Black Mamba, but you can’t own a Massasauga Rattler.
