Each program has a different set of requirements. The Pre-Med and Health Science Center (PMHSC) advisors support Wayne State students in understanding and navigating the complex and competitive process to be admitted to a Physician assistant program.
The PMHSC uses the Wayne State University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences program as a baseline for recommended pre-PA courses, grade minimums [B (3.0)], and expiration timeline (six years). Specific rules and requirements for other schools can be found by visiting the individual Program Websites section.
Admission Exams. Some, but not all, PA programs require a standardized test as an element of the application. The two exams are the Graduate Record Examination General Test (GRE) and the PA-College Admissions Test (PA-CAT).
