24 cze 2020 · Hi Tom, The VCarve free projects will work for either Desktop or Pro, except for a couple of them that exceed the 24” x 24” size limit of the Desktop version. The larger projects were created before Desktop existed.

The ‘Desktop’ edition is designed for small CNC machines, aimed at hobby or non-production environments, while the 'Pro' edition includes unlimited job and toolpath size, true shape nesting & job set-up sheets, ideally suited to a production environment.

Compare our software. If your CNC machine bed size is 24” x 24” or smaller, Cut2D or VCarve Desktop is right for you. If you have a larger machine and you are looking to add production tools like nesting, templates and gadgets to your workflow Cut2D or VCarve Pro is the one for you.
Try using the free software and see if the convenience of V Carve is worth it for you. If you want to save a bit of cash, you can buy the “desktop” version of VCarve for ~50% of the price and upgrade it later. It all works out the same price in the end as buying V Carve pro all at once.
18 sty 2018 · I am considering an upgrade from desktop to pro. From what I am reading it seems like there is not a lot of differences. Is it truly worth it to upgrade?
