Vashon High School is a high school of the St. Louis Public Schools in St. Louis, Missouri. When it opened in 1927, it was the second high school for black students in St. Louis. [1]
It took several years, but finally they convinced the St. Louis Board of Education to build a new high school east of Grand Avenue. A proud family dating back three generations gave their name to the new high school. It would be known as Vashon High School.
