VanillaDM, previously known as DOSBoxDoomNetplay - Quick Edition, is both a GUI launcher and a multiplayer utility made by Hypnotoad. It seeks to improve vanilla Doom multiplayer sessions when using the DOSBox MS-DOS emulator through a collection of tightly configured programs running underneath the VanillaDM GUI.
1 sty 2020 · Vanilla-compatible - Those mods work properly on all source ports. Additional tweaks might required. Limit-removing (can't think of a better name honestly) - Those mods work on most source ports, except for some like Chocolate Doom and base DOS game.
1 gru 2023 · Earlalden24's mod collection v1 is finally released aka Enhanced Vanilla Doom! To use the mod simply unzip the file and load the pk3 into whatever mod loader/launcher you are using. RECOMMENDED SETTINGS for the best experience as intended: -Enable freelook. -disable jumping (optional)
1 gru 2023 · After a few months of development, I've finally figured out how to merge all of my favorite doom mods into a single one.
If you continue to use Chocolate Doom, since it lacks extra features, you will have to look out for entries that say they support doom.exe, doom2.exe, or vanilla Doom. Many mods will require the use of an enhanced port and will dutifully make note of that as well.
