   I prefer vanilla oblivion over modded Skyrim. The dungeons have depth and the side quests are the best I’ve ever played. It’s worth playing for the dark brotherhood quests alone.

   6 maj 2014 · Well, there's no reason NOT to use mods, but vanilla Oblivion can be pretty enjoying, if only because the game hasn't aged extremely well graphically, making npcs look hilariously unncanny at times. Plus, it's still a good game either way.

   I still play vanilla after ~2000 hours. I’d recommend at least the Bug Fix mods, +5 attributes on leveling mod, and auto update levels for unique weapons. This way you can just play the game how you like without having your character feel super underpowered and having to crank the difficulty down.
