24 wrz 2010 · Vanilla Doom is used to refer to Doom running without a source port on the original executable. In order to avoid desynchronizations in multiplayer, players must have their vanilla Doom's IWAD patched to 1.9. Rebuilding the NODES in the original maps will also cause them to desynchronize.
28 maj 2023 · For Vanilla DOOM, a full installation of Windows 98 SE instead of plain DOS usually does more harm than good. Pros: With ISA Sound Blaster AWE cards that have enough RAM and with some configurations of PCI Sound Blaster Live! cards, you can load arbitrary .SF2 sound fonts and use them through General MIDI.
