To apply for admission to the JD program, you must: Have (or expect to have) a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university before the fall semester for which you are applying to enter the Vanderbilt J.D. program. Register with the J.D. Credential Assembly Service (CAS) through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).

All Vanderbilt Law School students are required to complete a substantial research paper to obtain the J.D. degree. Most students will satisfy this requirement by enrolling in and completing a course designated as a three-credit seminar.
