  1. The Newborn Nursery at Monroe Carell focuses on providing family-centered care to promote family and infant bonding. We care for healthy newborns and those with special medical needs. We can often provide additional services without transferring you to an intensive care unit.

  2. Visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. You must wear your visitor pass at all times. These passes are at the nurses' station. Ask your nurse for visiting hours specific to your unit. Parents and/or guardians are given ID bands with your child's information to identify you as your child's caregiver. Parents and guardians are not considered visitors.

  3. Nurses' Station: see below, ring all calls to the Nurses' Station. Visiting Hours for 5A/PCICU: Parents 8am-6:45pm, all others 9am-6:45pm. VIsiting Hours for 5B & 5C/PICU: 3 visitors per patient 7am-9pm, 2 visitors per patient 9pm-7am; visitors <18 years old may not stay past 9pm unless he/she is one of the parents.
