Long distance train and scheduled coach tickets. How much will my journey cost? The price of your journey will differ depending on your origin and destination.

  3. Regional fares. Starting 31 March 2023, no matter where you live in Victoria, it will cost you the same amount to travel. The most you’ll pay is the same as a daily capped fare, which is currently $10.60 full fare, or $5.30 for concession. You'll need either a myki, V/Line paper or eTicket,or bus paper ticket for your journey.

  4. V/Line paper ticket and eTicket includes two-hours of travel on PTV local buses, trams and metropolitan trains for two hours before and two hours after your V/Line journey or, if the relevant daily fare cap is reached, travel for the whole day.

  5. Concession fares and free travel apply throughout Victoria. Find out if you’re eligible for concession fares and free travel. You'll need either a myki or V/Line paper ticket for your journey on regional trains or coaches.
