The UTSA University Band includes between 60-80 members and maintains an active 3-concert schedule each semester, performing a wide variety of works written for the concert band medium. Membership consists of both music majors and non-music majors.

UTSA Bands. The UTSA Bands encompass our concert bands, such as the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, and athletics bands, such as the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and Pep Band.
SOSA Marching Band a 330-member marching band and the largest ensemble at UTSA. Voted the #1 marching band by YourSA Reader’s Choice Awards, they proudly represent the university at UTSA athletic events, pep rallies, Fiesta parades, and many other events.
Directed by Prof. Hector Garcia, the UTSA University Band is the university's campus-wide concert band ensemble, drawing its members from both music majors and non-music majors throughout the Roadrunner community.
