The UTSA Bands encompass our concert bands, such as the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, and athletics bands, such as the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and Pep Band. They are open to all students, regardless of their major, and perform a variety of music spanning different genres and time periods.
Since its launch in 2022 by UTSA Arts, the program has grown to 80 members across three bands: the Missions Band (beginner), Alamo Band (intermediate), and the 210 Jazz Band (intermediate). For veterans like David Mercado and Patricia Snelson, On-Corps has brought a renewed sense of purpose and community.
UTSA University Band M/W/F 12:00-1:30 pm. Directed by Prof. Hector Garcia, the UTSA University Band is the university's campus-wide concert band ensemble, drawing its members from both music majors and non-music majors throughout the Roadrunner community.
