Opinions on the "newer" UTAS XTR-12 shotguns. I would like to get an XTR-12 because I like the idea of having an AR-10 platform that can shoot both 12 gauge and .308 (with a DPMS upper receiver). I have read many bad reviews about its durability and reliability.
18 paź 2016 · I've been looking into the XTR-12 for a little while now, and while everything I've found on them looks pretty good, I've noticed a surprising lack of more in-depth reviews/articles on it. Does anyone know of any that they can point me in the direction of?

2 maj 2017 · Below is the massive bolt. They recommend using 1&1/8th Oz loads when shooting birdshot, or anything 1250fps. The XTR-12 come with 5rd magazines but they make 10rd metal magazines and retail for $69 each. The XTR-12 barrel is externally threaded for chokes or muzzle brakes.
20 wrz 2016 · I hope to be finishing up an 8" XTR-12 soon, but it is kind of one of those pick-at-it-when-time-allows projects. So far, I spent most of my time working through some not so great ideas that happened after the manual was printed.
The XTR-12. UTAS XTR-12 works well with budget ammunition carrying unplated pellets without a shot cup. The next 12-gauge shotgun from UTAS was the exact opposite: a box-fed semiauto based on the all-American AR-10 lower receiver.
