(1) All students must meet certain minimum requirements to become eligible for promotion. They must then pass an exam and be recommended for promotion by their instructor or a Certificated Rank Examiner for higher dans (black belts) and provide the proper amount of documented USJA Promotion Points.
A new Request for Promotion (RFP) form will be posted to the download page of the USJA website in the next two weeks, the new RFP will strictly conform to revised and updated system. Certified Rank Examiners (CRE) of all levels will be expected to obtain a copy of the new Guide and familiarize themselves with every aspect.
Promotion to a higher rank and to obtain an USJA certificate, requires examination by a certified USJA Jujitsu Examiner, under the current USJA Jujitsu rank requirements.
