The USJA's National Promotion System is designed to ensure that ranks awarded reflect the technical expertise, character development, and overall contribution of the individual. This process requires the direct evaluation of all candidates.

A new Request for Promotion (RFP) form will be posted to the download page of the USJA website in the next two weeks, the new RFP will strictly conform to revised and updated system. Certified Rank Examiners (CRE) of all levels will be expected to obtain a copy of the new Guide and familiarize themselves with every aspect.
20 sty 2022 · (CRE Application located in “Printable Forms”) Eligibility. Once someone reaches the rank of Sandan or higher they are eligible to become a USJA Certified Rank Examiner (CRE), after they show their understanding and ability to follow all the requirements of the promotion procedure.
