20 mar 2017 · In the last week, some of my USB devices have failed to be recognised on my Windows XP SP3 laptop. It first happened with 2 external USB HDD enclosures connected through a mini USB hub. Connecting them individually did not resolve the problem.
13 cze 2012 · Running in XP Mode, the USB device is not recognized. Steps Taken: Have attempted use of Win7 compatibilty mode wizard and enable use of (Win 2000, XP SP2 and XP SP3) various Win OS modes. Have attempted installation of XP Mode via Virtual PC.
5 lis 2012 · I am trying to connect data logger (Advantech usb 4718) to my laptop. The software given for the data logger only supports windows xp. So I installed windows XP mode in my laptop. But in Windows XP mode the USB ports are not working. I could not attach any USB devices in virtual machine.

Try this: Type in devmgmt.msc in run or the search box of the start menu. On the list of devices show, click on the drop down for Universal Serial Bus Controllers. From the list shown, right click one of the ones labelled USB Root Hub, and click on Properties.
