27 maj 2021 · How to get USB/serial drivers working on M1 mini? I've tried a few different ways to get each of the FTDI and Prolific drivers working on my new M1 but no luck. Can anybody help with specifics?

26 lis 2021 · Simply copy your ARM directory from the Mac Folder to the local C: drive in your Windows. Update driver could then find the drivers and install them properly. Remember you have to "Update Drivers" twice: for the USB Serial Converter; For the COM port that will appear after (1) is completed.
I have an FTDI cable that I am using with an esp32 for development, and it is based on the Prolific PL2303 chip. I tried installing the driver, I get the error message that it has been blocked but there is no option in Settings < Security to actually allow it to go through.
Previously used a USB-A version (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07K1JN1ZC/) from the same manufacturer on my old Intel Macbook to get away from the USB to serial adapter -> Cisco console cable setup. Worked well, so bought a bunch for my team too.
