Please use the USA Hockey Courses System catalog below to locate a seminar. An official may attend any (appropriate level) classroom seminar in the country for seminar credit. Officials are not restricted to attend a class session in their home district or state.
USA Hockey ZoomCasts are weekly online video webinars dedicated to continuing education of officials, coaches, players and parents. Some topics will focus on officiating performance and effectively managing a hockey game.
The Level 1 Officiating classroom seminar is hosted through Zoom Meetings, and will count towards 2024-25 Officiating membership. This classroom seminar is open to Level 1 USA Hockey officials from all states and districts.
• Seminar staffs are expected to present approved USA Hockey seminar topics and presentation material. • Seminar video clips are meant to be interactive and to generate discussion.
Led by Michigan Referee-in-Chief Howard (J.P.) Parmentier, the Officiating Program will conduct a morning seminar for participating officials, while 10u games are played throughout the day. During the on-ice competition, new officials will have an opportunity to interact with veteran officials, who will serve as mentors throughout the process.
Seminars. All USA Hockey officials must attend an annual seminar in order to be completely registered. Seminars will be held across the state, beginning in August. USA Hockey registration opens on June 1st. The seminar schedule can be seen by following the links below.
