Thomas Stewart Udall (/ ˈjuːdɔːl / YOO-dawl; born May 18, 1948) is an American diplomat, lawyer, and politician serving as the United States Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa since 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as a United States senator from New Mexico from 2009 to 2021.
Tom Udall (born May 18, 1948, Tucson, Arizona, U.S.) is an American Democratic politician who served in the U.S. Senate (2009–21), representing New Mexico. He had previously been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (1999–2009). In 2021, Udall became the ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa.
