Finally, in February 2023, physical events returned, once again called Pro Tours, alongside an MTG Arena-only series called Arena Championships. The new Pro Tours, the name returning after a 4½ year absence, are currently held three times a year, twice in North America and once in Europe.

Each Spotlight features a flagship main tournament — a two-day open tournament that features a $50,000 prize pool, and invites to the upcoming Pro Tour for the Top 8. It is limited to 2,000 spots. The series kicks off on January 3–5, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
For Premier Play, the expansion release date and Pro Tour schedule were generally decoupled. There are three Pro Tours each year, with the first Pro Tour in February, which is after the third expansion of the rotation season is released.
