    The Race Track Industry Program is the first program of its kind offering a Bachelor's degree centered on the racing industry. It offers two paths of study; one preparing students for race track management, regulation or pari-mutuel racing organizations, the other preparing students for employment in areas dealing with racing and breeding animals.

  4. Classes. The RTIP degree allows students to focus their studies on the area of racing in which they are most interested. Students choose either a Business Path – designed for careers in management, marketing and regulation or an Equine Management Path – designed for careers in training, the bloodstock industry or farm management.

  5. Robert Hartman serves as the Chair of the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program. Hartman is an RTIP alum with over a decade of experience in race track management. Hartman began his racing career serving as a summer intern at NYRA, an opportunity afforded to him as an RTIP student.

  6. The culmination of the four-year program is a required internship within the race track industry at locations including Churchill Downs, the American Quarter Horse Association, New York Racing Association and Santa Anita Park.
