The University Interscholastic League (UIL) is an organization that creates rules for and administers almost all athletic, musical, and academic contests for public primary and secondary schools in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the largest organization of its type in the world.
6 lis 2012 · The University Interscholastic League exists to provide educational extracurricular academic, athletic, and music contests. The UIL was created by The University of Texas at Austin in 1910 and has grown into the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world.
The University Interscholastic League, the main governing body for academic, athletic, and music competition among public schools in the U.S. state of Texas, sanctions many events for students in grades 2 to 12. Competition in grades 2–8 is limited to district only.
Next week SAAC, in conjunction with USD’s Athletic Training Room and Athletic Department, is hosting a Health and Wellness Week for the student athletes on campus. The week will include therapy dogs, yoga, lawn games and a “Calming Corner” that athletes can use to meditate, study, or simply relax.
The University Interscholastic League was created by The University of Texas at Austin to provide leadership and guidance to public school debate and athletic teachers. Since 1910 the UIL has grown into the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world with more than 1,400 member schools.
