19 lip 2022 · Instead of using the .msi installer try using the SupportAssistInstaller.exe installer available on the SupportAssist for Home PCs download page. Download a fresh copy of SupportAssistInstaller.exe and save it to your desktop, right-click the .exe file, and choose " Run as Administrator ".
12 sie 2022 · I think Dell Update does the same thing, without all the extra Processes and Services required by Support-Assist. However, between Windows-11 Windows-Update and nvidia.com (or amd.com) you should have everything you need (except for the occasional XPS firmware update).
30 cze 2023 · Here is how: Open the Programs & Features applet by typing in “ appwiz.cpl ” in the Run Command box. Open the Programs and Features applet. Right-click “ Dell SupportAssist ” and click Uninstall from the context menu. Uninstall Dell SupportAssist. If asked for confirmation, click Yes.

Is there a way to install Dell Update separately or do I need to install SupportAssist then install DU through SA, then uninstall SA? For the life of me I cannot find a direct download of DU. I can find Dell Command Update easily, for my Latitudes and OptiPlexes, but not regular DU for non-business machines.
20 mar 2024 · I want to completely uninstall the "Dell SupportAssist" app. I haven't seen anything convincing yet to make me want to keep it, whilst it otherwise seems to be bugged software. I'm following the instructions set-out by the user "Imacri" in this thread (i.e., their comment of March 8th 2023 at 06:00).
