Contact your department’s designated department scheduling officer, who can submit an online room reservation request for any ESJ classroom. Administrative Units may utilize ESJ classrooms for meetings, trainings, and other events geared toward campus users.

The Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center (ESJ) features thirteen general purpose classrooms and nine state-of-the art chemistry teaching labs, complimented by a wide variety of informal collaborative learning and study spaces throughout the building.
Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center (ESJ) supports academic classes, symposiums, lectures and meetings. The wide range of spaces can accommodate small gatherings as well as large lectures, and presentations.
Editable Cells: Course Title (C8), Course Calculation of Hours within the Program Content, Date, Start/End Time columns (beginning at C22), and the Subsequent Offering Threshold Check, if applicable (H11).
Unique spaces for poster sessions and small gatherings to compliment an academic event already scheduled in the building. ESJ’s general spaces are not available for office parties or sit-down meals. Please email esj@umd.edu for more information.
ESJ has resumed its normal operating hours: Anyone with accessibility needs may enter through the most convenient door for them, and proceed through the building using their preferred route. A change you will notice is how you navigate the building.
