13 gru 2023 · If you’re looking for one of the best beaches in Montauk that is perfect at sunset then give Kirk Park Beach a try. In fact, this beach is often referred to as “umbrella beach” or “IGA beach” and sits at the eastern end of Montauk.
The Town of East Hampton received this property as a gift in January of 1999, comprising of 38 acres of land fronting the Atlantic Ocean shoreline also known as “Umbrella Beach.” It is a portion of the Benson Reservations established by the heirs of Arthur Benson and have historically been open to use by residents of Montauk .
14 lut 2024 · Kirk Park Beach (also called Umbrella Beach) has a large paid parking lot for beach goers and is next to the IGA (local grocery store) and across from the 7-eleven. The beach here (in my opinion) is the nicest Montauk beach. It’s a large beach with really white, fluffy sand.
