The Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising can assist students interested in pursuing the pre-physician’s assistant curriculum. The coursework below meets the requirements for most nationally accredited PA programs.
All students interested in becoming a Physician Assistant should plan to graduate first from UMBC. Upon successful completion of a degree, in addition to the pre-requisites for professional school, students will complete two years in a Physician Assistant school at another institution.
The Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is offered jointly with the Department of Biological Sciences.
