UltraScreen is comparable to imax and is also 2.39. My theater doesn’t have laser for ultra so not sure about that. SuperScreen doesn’t compare to imax but I do prefer it to standard.

UltraScreen DLX is supposed to be comparable to IMAX Digital. The other user is comparing aspect ratios for some reason, which is separate from how huge the overall screen is (these screens are used to display several different aspect ratios.) This might solve your problem.

The ticket price is $3.50 less and you get a bigger picture. The 24,000 watt sound system can probably keep up nicely with that in the IMAX auditorium, and Marcus also recently upgraded the UltraScreens for 3D projection. If more movie theaters were to follow Marcus' lead, IMAX would have even more to worry about!

20 lut 2020 · A true, legit IMAX theater has the ceiling to floor screen with an aspect ratio of ~1.4:1, which is far more square than your normal theater. They also have stellar sound that’s routinely calibrated by IMAX.
