Group Swim Lessons. Our Fall II Session will be October 20th - November 23rd. Our Spring I Session will be January 26th - March 1st.
24 mar 2024 · Learn to swim with the Chicago Park District! Ages: 6 and up. Participants will be introduced to aquatic activities through water exploration. Individuals will learn basic swimming techniques, advanced breathing techniques and mechanics of the four basic strokes (freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke).
Aquatics. The Student Recreation Facility and the Sport & Fitness Center provide the opportunity for lap and recreational swimming. Both aquatic facilities are fully accessible and ADA compliant. Pool Schedule. SRF. Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday: 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday – Sunday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. SFC.
Swim Lessons. Chicago Park District is a proud provider of American Red Cross Aquatics programs. In cooperation with the Red Cross and the USA Swimming Foundation and its Make A Splash™ initiative, we are working to spread awareness of the importance of Chicagoans learning how to swim.
This lesson is designed or students ages 6 years to 16 years old. It is meant to familiarize students with aquatic environments and help them gain basic aquatic skills. It will help participants begin to develop positive approaches and learn safe practices and procedures around water.
Our primary teaching location for group classes and private lessons is the Chicago Blue Dolphins Swim Studio. We offer specialized group classes, such as deep water skills and open water training, at other satellite locations around the city.
