5 kwi 2018 · An Open MRI, sometimes called a “true open” MRI, machine produces the same kinds of photos but looks different. It is open on all sides and the machine is above and below the patient like two cookies. Look at the machine in the picture below.

Other applications include arthritis, infection, cancer, congenital diseases, metabolic and endocrine diseases, gout, anemia and pre-surgery evaluation.
An open MRI provides the comfort of a spacious and completely open design, and clear, high-quality images to make sure your provider gets the right answers to guide your care. If a traditional, tube-like MRI is difficult due to claustrophobia, anxiety or large body build an open MRI may be a better option for you.
Open MRI (Open Magnetic Resonance Imaging) use the same, advanced diagnostic imaging procedure as traditional MRI machines. Both create detailed images of internal bodily structures without the use of x-rays, using instead a powerful magnet, radio waves and a computer.
