GauchoSpace is UCSB's learning management system. Instructors can create online sites for course materials and student activities to meet their instructional needs. GauchoSpace is built using Moodle, an open-source learning platform. Its featured tools allow you to: Upload your syllabus, course assignments, or readings.
Gauchospace, found at https://gauchospace.ucsb.edu, is a UCSB branded installation of Moodle. It is being phased out during the 2022-2023 school year in favor of Canvas, however, prior to the 2022-2023 school year, it was the main Course Management System (CMS) used at UCSB.
GauchoSpace will be decommissioned and no longer accessible on December 1, 2023. Prior to decommissioning, we will set up an archive of older courses from Fall 2015 - Spring 2021 that support staff will be able to pull materials from on request for use in future quarters.
An online space available for students to pose questions and view Librarian responses as a collective or individually. Discussion forums can be offered synchronously through tools like Zoom or Nectir, or asynchronously through GauchoSpace.
Download the appropriate version of the GauchoCast software client, 32 or 64-bit Windows (Windows 10 and up), or MacOS (10.15 "Catalina" and up). Alternately, existing GauchoCast recorder users might be prompted to install the latest available version than what is currently installed.
3 paź 2024 · Step 1. Go to the GauchoCast Support website to download the recorder: https://support.gauchocast.ucsb.edu/?q=download-recorder. Step 2. Login to GauchoCast. A dropdown menu will appear when you click the "Login" button. Choose "GauchoSpace" in this dropdown list, then login with your UCSB NetID and password. Step 3. Download and install Panopto.
