If you look up ucr ai dorm and click the 360 tour and on the right tab click the list you’ll see how spacious it is. As long as you keep your area clean you’ll definitely have a lot of room. Since I only had one roommate in a loft I felt like we were def good on space.
I’d suggest mapping out the buildings when you decide. I did that before hand and got a really nice dorm view.

East Lothian (Lothian wings D, E, and F) Easily the best freshman dorms. Each floor has a kitchenette, unlike AI, West Lothian, and Dundee. Bathrooms are the nicest, and nicer than the ones in Dundee. The bathrooms at East Lothian have the best showers as well and they are the most sanitary as opposed to the others.
Dundee is our new state-of-the-art Residence Hall featuring more than 800 beds in two seven-story residential towers. The community includes a host of amenities — including a fitness center, hall lounges, and outdoor recreation areas.
UCR's three Residence Halls provide freshmen students with the most well-rounded college experience. Students also have the option of living in several cultural-themed and academic-based Living-Learning Communities.
