30 lip 2021 · Some devices like keyboard works fine on a cheap USB hub I bought, but I'm trying to put a USB Modem on the same hub and it fails, but if I put directly to my notebook it works fine. My findings so far: lsusb shows my USB modem as "Unknown Manufacturer hub": Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub.
27 wrz 2023 · For some time now, I have been experiencing issues with my USB input (mouse, keyboard) devices that are connected through a USB hub. These devices reconnect themselves after a certain period, approximately one minute. Upon reconnection, the devices are unavailable for a few seconds.
10 cze 2020 · I am using Ubuntu, but occasionally dual boot into windows where I have the same problem. Has anyone found a viable solution to this problem? (e.g: A usb hub that is a little smarter and shuts down it's power when disconnected or some hacky commands that run when a usb device is connected.)

Take look at the dmesg output after you connecting the USB device to the hub. It will tell you which USB hub (/dev/NODE_NAME) is which device.
