6 paź 2010 · KDE Partition Manager is available in the repositories, sudo apt-get install partitionmanager. It is a KDE front end for libparted, the same technology behind Ubuntu's partition manager. It can be used to not just format drives, but also create, resize, and move partitions.
30 gru 2013 · When you are installing Ubuntu, at the partitioning step, choose Use entire harddisk, and Ubuntu will format the entire harddisk for you, also creating a swap partition.
20 sty 2011 · Install and use mkusb (mkusb-dus), which can format alias restore a USB drive to a standard storage device (with an MSDOS partition table and a partition with the FAT32 file system). These instructions are also relevant for other drives (memory cards, hard disk drives, HDD, solid state drives, SSD).
Using the command line we use the 'dd' command. Insert your USB drive into your computer and find the corresponding drive using: lsblk. Then format the USB drive with the 'dd' command: sudo dd if=Downloads/kubuntu-15.04-desktop-amd64.iso of=/dev/sd X.

7 maj 2024 · Ubuntu Linux has several utilities for formatting your USB drive. You can use the Disks utility to format any drive or volume with a GUI interface or use the mkfs.vfat command in a terminal window. In either case, you can have your USB drive formatted in just a few minutes.
