28 sty 2022 · When I start Ubuntu it will boot and begin loading then eventually a black screen with the Ubuntu logo on the bottom. It will usually stay indefinitely on this unless I hard reset it and boot the VM again.
22 paź 2020 · This is how I troubleshoot a non-starting Ubuntu in Virtual Box (assuming optimal settings for a virtual machine were already made): Make sure you had installed the most recent version of Virtual Box. Try a reboot by entering a TTY terminal (Host + F1) sudo reboot. Update the guest OS from TTY (Host + F1):
14 lip 2021 · I just updated my VirutalBox to the latest software, and since then I cannot get Ubuntu to load. It black screens on the login screen. I've tried several fixes other forums have mentioned such as the graphics settings, the number of processors, and switching between views, but nothing has worked yet.
28 lut 2022 · These may sometimes be causing the issue: Try changing out your video memory to 128 MB from the display tab in the settings of the virtual machine. Change your graphics controller to VMSVGA from the display tab in the settings of the virtual machine. Ensure your ISO image is not corrupted.
30 paź 2020 · The virtual machine starts with a purple screen, with icons at the bottom, and then after a short while I get a bunch of options. I select "Install ubuntu", then I get a black screen with an underscore.
14 paź 2022 · I just resized my Ubuntu VM Disk space cause it was running low on it. I did it in the VirtualBox GUI but after resizing I couldn´t fully boot ubuntu anymore. A blackscreen stays after the loading icon and ubuntu title on the bottom of the screen.
