I think Renpy's better in all situations. Extremely easy to get a game running; you just write some super easy to read script, add some image and music commands, and run it. It's not in a graphical UI, but that doesn't mean it's hard.
Now, I like all 3 for different applications, but for pure VNs I think Ren'Py is the best choice if you're willing to commit to learning it and how it works; but if you just want to build something really quickly with little customization, then Tyranobuilder could work for you.
You do need to use a Mac but you don't need to own one. You make the game with Renpy on your Windows PC, then export the finished game as an Xcode project for iOS, as described on the link you posted. Xcode is a development IDE on Mac, so you will then need access to a Mac to open the project, build the actual iOS app and submit to the App Store.

22 cze 2019 · Ren'py's definitely one of the most user and creator-friendly options. I've heard visual novel maker is also decent but it's premium and doesn't have -nearly- the tutorial support that ren'py does.
