9 wrz 2013 · In any case, the Tupolev Tu-144 remains quite an impressive aircraft, with an absolutely majestic look. There was quite a long queue to get inside the aircraft on display at MAKS, so I could take only a few pictures of the outside that I have compiled in this Tu-144 photo gallery.
Tupolev Tu-144, world’s first supersonic transport aircraft, designed by the veteran Soviet aircraft designer Andrey N. Tupolev and his son Alexey. It was test-flown in December 1968, exceeded the speed of sound in June 1969, and was first publicly shown in Moscow in May 1970.
