Veldheer Tulip Gardens. Holland's only tulip farm is ablaze with acres of tulips from late April to mid-May. Veldheer farms began in 1950 when Vern Veldheer planted a couple hundred tulip bulbs as a hobby. Now, Veldheer's plants around 5 million tulip bulbs each year!
We really enjoyed this spot during our pilgrimage to the tulip festival! They have some really beautiful flowers and it is a site to be seen with all of the different varieties. Once you get into the shop, you can buy your favorite tulip bulbs and get souvenirs regarding tulips and wooden shoes.
