Bottom line. The Checkpoint SL Gen 3, the latest iteration of Trek’s venerable gravel bike, features a carbon-fiber frame, endurance geometry, and SRAM wireless groupsets. The top-tier SL 7 gets the sole in-depth review; the two other builds aren’t tested.
