There’s a few answers posted that are close but not quite there. Part time means scheduled up to five shifts a week. These are up to eight hours each, with half hour lunches depending on the length of your shift. This puts you at 37.5 hours on the clock which you can stretch some at most stores.
It depends on the store, your availability, and sometimes how long you've worked there. I've worked at TJs for 6 months, have open availability, and my schedule is literally all over the place. Not once has it been consistent from one week to the next. The other newish employees have said the same.

8 sie 2016 · At my store opening shifts are 6-2pm, mid shifts are usually 11-5pm (unless you’re in high school in which case it’s usually 3 or 4 to 8pm), and closing is 2-10pm or 3-11pm. Upvote 22. In my experience, the vast majority of crew members who want to work basically FT are scheduled for 38 hours a week and will come close to 40 if they choose to. But if you’re looking for a guarantee of salary, then you need to be looking elsewhere and that’s really just the long and short of it.
