If I opt for a 10 year / 125,000 mile TSA, the first 3 years / 36,000 miles are completely worthless because Toyota's factory comprehensive warranty automatically covers the same issues that the TSA would cover. Therefore, a 10 year / 125,000 mile TSA actually only covers 7 years / 89,000 mile (potentially)? Do I have that right?
Part of me believes it's just a money grab by the dealership, especially given Toyota's rep for quality. OTOH, there's a lot that can go wrong after 3 years. So I'm wondering who out there has a Toyota extended warranty AND has had reason to use it. Was it worth it? Or was it overkill? Thanks!
