  2. Welcome to the online Receiver of Taxes office. This office collects taxes for Nassau County, the Town of Hempstead, 99 special districts, and 33 school districts and disburses the monies to school district treasurers and other districts without charge.

  3. Payment by credit card will incur a service fee of 2.3% with a minimum of $1.50 for all cards. Payment by electronic check will incur a service fee of $1.50. The fee for personal Visa Debit transactions is $3.95. These fees are not paid to the Town of Hempstead, they are paid to eGov Strategies for processing the transaction.
