The Town of Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Credit Card and Electronic Check Payment Systems. Tax bills are issued twice a year, once in January for the General Tax Bill, and once in October for the School Tax Bill. You can view the 2024-2025 payment schedule on the graphic to the right:

To pay your tax bill by mail, please make checks payable to Jeanine C. Driscoll, Receiver of Taxes, be sure to sign and date your check, verify that the numerical and written amounts agree, and write your school district, section, block, and lot numbers on the check.
