The Torrey Pines South Course is the more challenging of the two and is the host of the 2008 & 2021 U.S. Open Championships. The South course was originally designed by William Bell, Sr. in 1957, and is home to the Farmers Insurance Open PGA Golf Tournament (along with the North Course).

Map & Directions. DIRECTIONS: Approximately 20 minutes from downtown, Torrey Pines Golf Course is located in La Jolla. From I-5 take the Genesee Ave. exit west to North Torrey Pines Road, follow the signs for approximately 1 mile to the course. Please allow ample time for traffic conditions. REQUEST A TEE TIME. Torrey Pines Golf Course is a 36-hole municipal golf facility in La Jolla, a community of San Diego, California. The course sits on the coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, just south of Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve.
