5 maj 2022 · Is it Safe to Smoke Weed After a Tongue Piercing? There isn’t a lot of information out there on how weed affects piercing. Act for Libraries said that weed should be avoided after a tongue piercing. Neither Tat Ring nor Healthline differentiated between tobacco and weed smoking.
I smoked immediately (like less than an hour) after getting my tongue pierced and it was fine. Just wash your mouth out with mouthwash when you're done 🙂

Everyone I know with a tongue piercings smokes weed and smoked during the healing process with no problems. Stay away from cigarettes though. Edit: I've now talked to like 4 piercers about it and my friends who've had theirs pierced too. People say don't smoke because of cigarettes.
If you can wait past the first week of initial swelling anf whatnot, you should. If you do smoke, during that time and as well throughout the rest of the healing process, you should rinse your mouth out immediately after. That's the advice I was given 🤷♀️
