QUINCY — Tommy Elston has moved another step closer to his first late model track title at Adams County Speedway. Elston rolled to his sixth feature win of the season Sunday night — his fourth in the last six shows — to take a five-point series lead over Denny Woodworth into the final night of points racing Sept. 24.

12 cze 2007 · Elston caught the leaders and made the bottom and top lines work to his advantage, leading the final 6 laps for his second win of the season and becoming the first two-time winner for the freshman USRA Late Model division.
6 lip 2021 · Eckrich again grabbed the lead on the restart with Tommy Elston, who started eighth, working his way to the runner-up spot. Five laps later, lap 18, the final caution of the race appeared as a tire in turn 2 was clipped onto the track to bring out the yellow.
Elston led the final 12 laps, most of them in convincing fashion. At one point, he held a whopping 2.3-second lead on the rest of the field. Elston entered the night with a five-point advantage over Denny Woodworth, who had won every late model track title since 2016, including all in the crate late era, which dates to 2017.
