29 maj 2020 · I am looking to upgrade my Dana 30 and 35s by beefing them up. Is it worth it to upgrade from a 27-spline to a 30-spline chrome alloy axle shaft for either axle? I am looking to pair this upgrade with air lockers and a regear to 4.56 for 33 inch tires.
23 lis 2011 · To revive this dead thread, you can get RCV CV joint Dana 30 shafts. These shafts use a CV joint instead of a u-joint eliminating the additional stress that is put on the pivot joint when the wheels are turned.
8 lut 2010 · If it's older than that then you only need to replace the axle shafts to run the larger 297 size. Once you have the right shafts, run the Spicer 5-760x u-joint which is substantially stronger/more durable and is a direct same size replacement for the 5-297. Profile at Jerry Bransford.

9 gru 2004 · TJ dana 30 allready runs the 760 U-joints, so you just need some replacement CrMo shafts or Warn hub conversion and inner shafts. As far as full high steer check out the tech section of this web page, should answer all your questions... and maybe make you decide to just go to a 44
7 gru 2008 · I want to upgrade my D30. I was thinking of getting an OX locker and new 27 spline crome molly axel shafts. Is this a good idea or should I go with 30 spline?
24 sie 2023 · Fits Jeep TJ with Dana Spicer 30 front and AMC Model 35 rear. 4.56 ratio. Includes front and rear ring & pinion sets and master overhaul kits. Technical Notes. If you are currently running a 3.54 ratio, you will need to purchase a new front carrier with this package.
